En la Costa Brava encontramos tres elementos naturales que predominan: agua, arena y rocas. Cada uno de ellos tiene características diferentes, pero sensorialmente evocamos las mismas. Ya que, a pesar de tener distintas propiedades, todo acaba uniéndose en una misma idea. Para trabajar cada uno de los materiales se han utilizado algunas características de los elementos naturales de la playa.
On the Costa Brava we find three natural elements that predominate: water, sand and rocks. Each of them has different characteristics, but we sensorially evoke the same. Since, despite having different properties, everything ends up unifying in the same idea. To work on each of the materials, some features of the natural elements of the beach have been used.
Para hacer piezas de fieltro, se utilizó agua de mar para cardar la lana. Así como la forma atornillada que hace referencia a las olas que se crean en el mar, o los reflejos del sol en el agua. Para la piedra, se ha tenido en cuenta la textura de las rocas y se ha aplicado a la forma. Una forma redondeada acabada en punta, que nos puede recordar a un tornillo de mar o un trozo de coral. Por último, la cerámica ha utilizado un barro negro con chamota para crear unas esferas y el mar se encarga de darles forma, ya que para hacerlas se han colocado frente al mar y las olas van deformando el barro.
To make felt pieces, seawater was used to card the wool. As well as the bolted shape that refers to the waves that are created in the sea, or the sun’s reflections in the water. For the stone, the texture of the rocks has been taken into account and applied to the shape. A rounded shape finished in tip, that can remind us of a sea screw or a piece of coral. Finally, ceramics have used a black mud with chamotte to create some spheres and the sea is in charge of giving them shape, since to make them have been placed in front of the sea and Waves are deforming mud.
Proceso para crear una textura rocosa en la pieza de piedra. Realizando agujeros por toda la superficie y rallando con un cepillo de aluminio.
